Area

The Global IT Asset Management Team (“ITAM”) is part of Danske Bank’s IT Contract, Asset Performance Management organization in Danske Bank’s Group IT with teams in Denmark, Lithuania and India. The ITCP organisation is accountable for providing excellent vendor performance through executing disciplines such as contract management, service level management, IT asset management and collaborating closely with finance managers, risk managers and procurement managers. We have high ambitions and aim for the top quartile in all we do – and you must have, or aspire to be at, the same level of standard.

As part of the ITAM team, Software Asset Management (“SAM”) enables key corporate priorities by controlling costs, enhancing operational efficiency and mitigating security and financial risks. SAM objectives include tracking and managing software assets throughout their life cycle, ensuring consistent operational processes are defined from initial request through retirement, providing accurate reporting to support business decision making while managing asset related risks and establishing a foundation for services such as Information Security, Configuration Management, Change Management, Compliance Management, budgeting and forecasting.

You will be located in our Vilnius offices.

Mission

  • Manage requests from users through the Technical Service Catalogue for Software Asset Management in a timely manner
  • Monitor, report and analyse requests for improvements
  • Check compliance category for New Software Requests and check for licences
  • Provide reports and Software Licence Information and assign licences
  • Assign tasks and work with the ITAM Manager to complete requests for Software License Information and reports
  • Keep up to date and maintain the Software Asset Management Tool for the different publishers
  • Interpret software license agreements and identify rules, obligations, and product metrics to ensure compliance with software license
  • Collect, cleanse and normalize software discovery and inventory information to reflect an accurate view of entitlements held and software deployed)
  • Establish and maintain regular license management processes to review License Position Reports (evaluating deployments compared to entitlements) in order to identify any discrepancies for resolution
  • Working with stakeholders, understand program installation and configuration in order to translate into license compliance and associated financial impact
  • Identify under-deployments for potential cost savings (or harvesting/reuse of licenses) and over deployments that require the acquisition of additional entitlements/rights of use
  • Provide information to the Procurement Department in support of software license negotiations with publishers
  • Contribute to software compliance audits initiated by assigned publishers, collaborating with a cross-functional team, as appropriate and according to Danske Bank’s practices
  • Interact with stakeholders as a promoter for Software Asset Management compliance processes and proceduresa

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with multiple stakeholders. Customer Focused
  • ITIL Accreditation – optional
  • Understanding of Software Asset Management and Licensing.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with discovery tools used across different platforms
  • Working knowledge of SAM tool(s) preferred
  • Experience of Service Management tools or Service Desk.
  • Request Management and running reports
