We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Trade Surveillance Integration Team as a Data Operations Support Analyst.

Our SMARTS Trade Surveillance service powers surveillance and compliance for over 40 marketplaces, 11 regulators and 100 market participants across 65 markets globally. Scalable to millions of transactions and flexible to manage a number of unique data sources, SMARTS Surveillance holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes. 

This exciting opportunity offers a mix of production and new customer data analysis, fact finding and problem identification ensuring that issues are analysed, understood and if necessary elevated to appropriate functional areas and tracked to resolution. The successful candidate will also schedule releases after fixes are completed.

A large part of this role is taking ownership of customer technical requests and issues, proposing solutions and working with internal teams to implement those solutions. Most importantly, we want new recruits to clearly understand the importance of delivering an excellent service through incident management, accountability, prevention and timely detailed communication.


  • 3 to 5 years of commercial experience in the trading/financial services technology space
  • Solid data analysis experience with market data, trading data and protocols
  • Previous commercial experience using Linux including a good knowledge of scripting, Perl or similar
  • A passion for working with/troubleshooting data issues, data conversion and manipulation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in technical support is preferred
  • Knowledge around financial markets and their operations
  • Knowledge of change management processes & the ITIL Framework
  • Comfortable with influencing and working with internal stakeholders on priorisation
  • Ability to multi-task, possess excellent time and priority management skills and a have a self-motivated attitude.
  • An eagerness to learn and high work ethic is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in working in a globally distributed team is required
  • Previous experience in a data management / quality role with a six sigma or similar qualification
