About the role

The position holds the overall responsibility for the Intelligence Tools system area. This includes delivering the right systems and support with the right functionality and quality at the right time and price.

The department is responsible for the area of the data platform that is used to access data for operational and harmonized decision-making, in particular this includes the model execution solutions that deliver results on both real-time and scheduled basis. Furthermore, it develops and leads the implementation of the platform archiving policy. 

The position will have the primary relation to the users in this area and ensure that project plans and deliveries meet expectations. This includes ensuring that Vilnius stakeholders for the overall platform are satisfied. 

Furthermore, the position holds the responsibility as location manager for the Data Platform teams located in Vilnius and will drive the onboarding and transformation initiatives in collaboration with the CBIT area in Vilnius.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with cross-functional IT teams to create the platform strategic roadmap to ensure the CBIT Data Platform delivers maximal customer value and performance
  • Active involvement in the management team of the system area to continuously develop the area and its employees
  • Manage and execute roadmap and system/platform portfolio in collaboration with the rest of the management team
  • Continuous improvements of the system area’s finances, operations and processes in overall terms
  • Ensure completion of agreed tasks with own system area and meet external SLAs to end users of the platforms
  • Responsible for the IT platform architecture in own system area and ownership of the SLAs, ITIL process in the system area
  • Ensure an in-depth correction of errors and optimisation to the greatest extent possible to avoid future errors
  • Management of system management portfolio/area, including securing optimal planning, prioritisation and organisation of employee composition across own as well as external resources

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of operating systems, servers, licensing, hardware technologies, databases and data platform (SQL, Hadoop, ETL tools, Data Warehousing, Data hardware)
  • Broad knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as SAS and Tableau
  • Broad knowledge of best practice process frameworks like ITIL
  • Experience with implementing and continuously developing data warehouse solutions
  • Budgeting and capacity planning for the system resources
  • General skills and leadership style
