Danske Bank’s AML Screening and Monitoring department is looking for a highly qualified AML screening and monitoring professional to lead the Continuous Development team to further strengthen the Danske Bank Group’s customer screening and transaction monitoring risk management capabilities. You and your team will be responsible for the continuous development of Group’s customer screening and transaction monitoring technologies and associated processes in CSD. You will report directly to the Head of AML Screening and Monitoring Department.

By joining AML Screening and Monitoring, you will become part of a growing international team working to ensure integrity across the Bank’s participation in financial markets and in society.

This is a permanent job, and you can be located in Vilnius.

Skills

  • Collaboration. The job requires robust collaboration skills as various stakeholders across the Bank from business to IT, operations, and compliance need to be engaged continuously.
  • Communication. Due to the complex nature of AML screening and monitoring, you need to have the ability to communicate in an understandable way while taking into consideration the knowledge-level of the target audience.
  • Management and leadership experience. You have the ability to empower and steer your colleagues effectively with a positive mind-set and an emphatic approach. In your role you shall ensure that the employees get a clear guidance, target setting and know that they can get support from you as their manager.
  • IT knowledge. As this team will be responsible for Continuous development of AML Screening and Monitoring systems, you need to have a strong background as an owner of IT systems used for screening and monitoring.
  • Integrity and determination. The guidance and instructions provided by the team can potentially have a big impact on the business but also for the Group’s overall risk exposure. This means that it is of great importance that the results are correct, that risks are correctly assessed and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Readiness to learn. The unit operates in a fast pace and constantly changing regulatory environment. Willingness to stay up-to-date and readiness for changes will be needed. To be able to thrive in a changing environment is a true key for success.
  • Content knowledge. A relevant Master’s degree and solid understanding of financial institutions’ approaches to AML screening and monitoring risk management, associated controls, and technology is desired.
  • Language skills: High proficiency in spoken and written English, which is the language used across the Group Compliance, is a mandatory requirement

  • Ensure Continuous development of AML Screening and Monitoring processes
  • Supporting Group with AML screening and monitoring technology, system calibration, optimisation and continuous improvement related activities
  • Being responsible for leading a team of highly focused AML Screening and Monitoring experts and data analysts
  • Encouraging and supporting employees of the team to deliver and execute on their best
  • Planning and executing the unit’s tasks according the requirements from the senior management
  • Leading the way to strengthen and develop the Group’s overall AML screening and monitoring control framework
  • Supporting the Head of AML Screening and Monitoring in AML screening and monitoring controls, technology and data related matters
