Your Tasks

You are responsible for procuring all decentralized services which are not procured by Central Purchasing, initiation of saving potentials and purchasing strategies for defined products categories as well as for implementation of relevant actions, coordination and initiation of purchasing and marketing activities regarding to the special features of the regional procurement market. Customer-supplier relation in the intercompany business with Group Charging (KV), integration of Project Purchasing in the TtM process and implementation of Supplier Management are in your responsibilities too.

  • Procurement of all relevant local services (building services, service performances, marketing activities etc.) which includes supplier evaluation and the complete order placement process.
  • Purchasing of all production materials required for manufacturing local products under QKT considerations (Quality, Cost, Timing).
  • Coordination with MGM to achieve saving potentials and purchasing strategies for the local market, actively introduce new local suppliers for the supplier panel, always remaining oriented towards Hella’s core processes.
  • Responsible for the implementation of actions and activities agreed with MGM; beyond this independent analysis of special features of the local procurement market.
  • Cooperation with Group Charging (KV). Effective organization of the CSR (customer-supplier relation) for all HKG services are the existing “last call” agreements. Heed the internal guidelines when awarding “HKG components”.
  • Guaranteeing early integration of Project Purchasing in the TtM process, from Gate 2. Integration in Project Purchasing in Lippstadt, to enable joint handling options to be derived. For all local projects, guaranteeing that orders placed with external suppliers are placed according to the point of view of Target Costing activities. Order placement decisions must be documented accordingly.
  • Implementation of the supplier management strategy which is valid for the Hella Group world-wide, taking TtM and OtD activities into particular account. Claim management, escalation methods, bonus-malus regulations and supplier development actions must be introduced in agreement with central Quality Management. If necessary, individual contracts must be modified in comparison with Hella standard contracts in cooperation with the Legal department (RA).
  • Management of 7 employees team according to targets (and delegation), qualifying and motivating, developing potentials and competences in order to achieve the set targets and take the responsibility for it.
  • Carrying out other tasks related to this position (including examining and evaluating suggestions for improvement, as well as complying with industrial safety and environmental protection measures pertaining to the scope of duties).


Your Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive industry is mandatory
  • Degree in engineering/business engineering or relevant
  • Several years of purchasing and managing related working experience
  • Excellent English skills (German advantage)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Strong negotiation skills and good knowledge of meeting management techniques
  • Knowledge of business processes and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Technical and automotive product knowledge
  • High coordinating capabilities and strong leadership skills
  • Visionary and passionate for success
