Manufacturing Engineer (Processes, Methods & Tools)

Your Tasks

Manage introduction, implementation and maintenance of corporate Processes, Methods and Tools (PMT) at Hella Lithuania, Kaunas locations. Being the key contact for all PMT-ME topics within the local PMT-ME cluster (plant or internal factory) and educating, coordinating and orchestrating the corresponding Manufacturing Engineers. Supporting the responsible manager of at least one corporate PMT work group, which is part of the global PMTME network and responsible for the design, revision and standardization of assigned ME Processes, Methods and Tools. Supporting tracking and continuously improving effectiveness and acceptance of ME Processes, Methods and Tools within the local PMT-ME cluster, thereby, contributing to a global footprint

  • Managing and supporting local standardization projects for Manufacturing Engineering (ME) with interdisciplinary teams and being part of global standardization teams with international and interdisciplinary character;
  • Managing the corporate focus groups, which contributes to the development of corporate Processes, Methods and Tools for Manufacturing Engineering. Taking ownership of PMT topics assigned to this focus work group;
  • Being responsible for the implementation of local PMT-ME pilots;
  • Supporting the roll-out of corporate Processes, Methods and Tools for standardization of Manufacturing Engineering within the local PMT-ME cluster (plant or internal factory);
  • Key support function for local Manufacturing Engineers, including consulting for application of PMT;
  • Realizing representation of assigned ME Processes, Methods and Tools in Hella IT systems, e.g. Signavio, Stages, SAP PPM, Norm Master;
  • Continuously analyzing, challenging and improving acceptance and effectiveness of PMT portfolio;
  • Sending corresponding feedback to global PMT-ME network;
  • Realize educational training concepts and creating training material for manufacturing Engineers in alignment with global PMT-ME network, including onboarding and roll-out of new corporate Processes, Methods and Tools;
  • Training of local Manufacturing Engineers;
  • Organizing, moderating, preparing and post-processing meetings and workshops within local PMT-ME cluster;
  • Ensuring that agreed global PMT-ME standards get accomplished.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering with a focus on manufacturing engineering, automation engineering, production engineering, industrial engineering, or similar technical courses, as well as business knowledge;
  • At from 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of production engineering, production planning, or factory planning, ideally with knowledge of project and quality management;
  • Excellent English skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and iTAC;
  • Willingness to travel and ideally experience of working in international project teams;
  • Purposeful and structured work approach;
  • Teamwork skills, an affinity for technology, and communication skills.
