Description

The Material Planner is responsible for the procurement of all production / production related / packaging materials.

He/She has to ensure the availability of the material needed in the requested amount, quality and at the right time as determined in the production plan in alignment with the Supply Chain relevant targets like logistic cost and other economical targets.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assure the availability of the production / production related / packaging materials needed in the requested amount, quality and at the right time as determined in the production plan in alignment with the Supply Chain relevant KPIs like TR, logistic cost and other economical targets.
  • Continuous checking of the result of the MRP run / packaging relevant transaction
  • Continuous maintenance and optimization of the planning parameters and the material flow in order to achieve most optimal stock level.”
  • The process of monitoring and revising of the physical inventories and inventory information. This includes warehouse management, cycle counting, maintain SAP System, physical inventories and inventory reconciliation.
  • Perform 3rd party warehouse stock accuracy management
  • Maintain & optimize expired material / slow material / obsoletes
  • Perform material / packaging material shortage & allocation management process
  • Supply chain processes in Product Termination Notification and Product Change Notification process (PTN/PCN)”
  • Monitoring and ensuring the accurate call­off transfer towards the suppliers / business partners.
  • Tracking of supplies.
  • Implementation and development of logistics processes: CMI/VMI/JIT
  • Monitoring delivery performance (e.g. Bensberg)
  • In case of non­conformities perform alignment with the business partners and requires countermeasures in form of an 8D
  • Respond to enquiries of responsibles (e.g. operating departments, suppliers, customers)
  • Claim for results, monitor and report regularly to operating departments, suppliers, customers”
  • Control on the stock level of the relevant materials
  • Controlling of the relevant premium freight
  • Track delivery performance of supplier

Qualifications

Academic degree in engineering, economics or comparable qualification

  • Professional experience in logistics
  • Supplier handing experience is preferred
  • Good knowledge of logistics related SAP modules
  • Experience in operations, preferably at a plant
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Fluent English language skills (spoken and written)
