Our Global Technology SMARTS Surveillance powers surveillance and compliance for over 40 marketplaces, 11 regulators and 100 market participants across 65 markets globally. Scalable to millions of transactions and flexible to manage a number of unique data sources, SMARTS Surveillance holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes. 

We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our SMARTS Trade Surveillance Services Business Analysis Team as a Senior Business Analyst.

The successful candidate will work directly with our clients to ensure they receive the quality service NASDAQ aim to deliver. You will be the primary contact point between the customer and first level support for all functional business issues as part of an extended team of 7 Business Analysts based in London

A large part of this role is taking ownership of customer functional requests and issues, proposing solutions and working with internal teams to implement those solutions. 

Most importantly, we want new recruits to clearly understand the importance of delivering an excellent service through incident management, accountability, prevention and timely detailed communication. 

Responsibilities:

•  Provide day to day client support and handle client queries in a fast-paced environment

•  Owning tickets/issues from customer initiation to closure

•  Tracking issues and ensuring customers are provided clear and concise information

•  Working with global internal teams to ensure timely coordination and closure of tickets/issues

•  Drive process change and efficiency improvements

•  Provide product training to internal staff and to customers

•  Create, modify and review documentations

•  Quality assurance (testing) and monitoring of our products/services to ensure high level of service quality

•  Product development through identification of requirements and specifications, providing insights into product improvement

•  Liaise with customers, developers and test teams to ensure quality releases of new software

 

Required skills:

•  Excellent verbal, written and client facing communication skills is a must

•  Experience in a client-facing role

•  Attention to detail, highly organised and able to handle pressured deadlines

•  Be a problem owner and solver with a logical approach to solving issues

•  Have a strong Team mindset

•  Be pro-active and have the drive to keep our customers happy

•  Confident to attend customer meetings and represent the company

•  Good understanding of modern software design and development techniques and methodologies

•  Strong knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel (Formulas, Pivot table, VBA)

•  Energetic, highly motivated with a desire to take responsibility

•  Degree in Computer Science, Finance or related disciplines

•  3-5 years’ experience

Desirable skills:

•  Business domain knowledge with an interest and knowledge of capital markets and trading compliance.

•  Experience with working directly with customers in a high pressure environment

•  Experience being involved with software implementation projects

•  Experience working with Agile Methodologies
