We now have an exciting position open for Process Developer, Travel & Expenses in our newly built finance function in Metso Business Services canter. The Senior Development Specialist will develop and maintain finance Process Framework (AP) and act as a Project Manager in selected Accounts Payable process development projects. This is an exciting development role for an experienced Accounts Payable professional as you get to be a part of setting up new processes and developing them from the very beginning of the next-generation Business Services Center in Vilnius. The center will serve as a key location for Metso, helping to develop Metso’s processes with modern technology.

Main responsibilities include

  • Maintain knowledge of related regulatory frameworks and policies
  • Internal and external benchmarking of process automation and technology
  • Drive digitalization and use of smart tools together with the finance development and Global Process Owners
  • Act as Project Manager in selected projects
  • Develop and maintain finance Process Framework (AP)
  • Consulting and supporting operational teams in resolving complicated, repeating (process) issues related to systems, processes, policies
  • Process development (within MBS site organization) – in close co-operation with respective Global Process Owners
  • Continous improvement (e.g. application of Lean)
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
  • Drive automation in MBS processes, identify opportunities, deployment of use cases
  • Within own process area focus on developing and testing new functionalities of the systems


To Succeed


You have three to five years’ experience in a similar development role or as a Team Lead or a Project Manager. You have knowledge and experience of applying Lean Six Sigma, Agile or other relevant project management methods in your previous work history and you are familiar with Finance data models and systems such as SAP AP and/or Basware. Knowledge and understanding of relevant RPA implementation and development projects are an asset. You have a University degree in Accounting, Economics or Engineering or in another relevant field.

The ideal candidate has project management skills and Excellent process analysis skills as well as understanding of end-to-end process(es). You are solution and development orientated and you drive for creating a culture where teams feel empowered to work and develop themselves and the processes continuously.


We value excellent communication and co-operations skills and fluency in English language (verbal and written) is a must. Knowledge of Lithuanian or other common Metso languages (such as Finnish, Swedish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese) is an advantage.
