As a Senior Systems Operations Analyst in Technical Operations team you will be responsible for surveillance, including incidents, detection and management as per documented procedure for all NASDAQ provided services on business days at 19:00 – 07:00 (static shift). This includes Technical Operations application, infrastructure, hardware, OS and webpage monitoring, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, maintaining operational documentation and procedures.


  • Perform real-time monitoring of systems for software/hardware errors, failures and capacity issues; troubleshoot, diagnose and escalate to 2nd/3rd line support teams
  • Monitor and detect market data connectivity incidents with clients, exchanges, market centers, and network providers
  • Detect, solve and escalate Incidents to appropriate support teams around the globe
  • Execute the Incident Management process and fulfill associated obligations of the Incident Management Assistant which is a part of Major Incident Management process
  • Perform real-time monitoring of batch processes, end of day jobs, automated system startup & shutdown of systems
  • Assure proactive alerting of monitored systems and maintain appropriate volume of alarms by initiating monitoring improvements and fine-tuning
  • Establish and update associated documentation and procedures according to existing process


  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related discipline
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent communication skills are required, inclusive of strong verbal and writing capabilities
  • Experience Required: At least 2 years
  • Prior experience in Network Operations Center or Command Center would be seen as great advantage
  • Basic Linux/UNIX skills
  • Open and collaborative, team player
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Calm and professional under pressure
