“The team from Invest Lithuania has been outstanding to work with, helping pave the way for Dana to leverage its resources to better serve our European operations. We are confident in the talent and capabilities of the Lithuanian people, and we look forward to a long, successful relationship,” said Jason Johnson, vice president of global finance and accounting for Dana.
The company intends to invest significantly in training and development of the staff and will also look for opportunities to collaborate with local educational institutions to ensure proper training and resources for the local talent base.
“Most recent investment projects in the Lithuanian business services sector have a focus on financial services. This is a positive trend that provides improved employment opportunities to a wide range of specialists, not just IT, Customer Support or Marketing professionals. The diversification of functions will continue to be one of the primary goals in the development of the business services industry,” stated the Lithuanian Minister of Economy and Innovation Virginijus Sinkevičius.
Mantas Katinas, general manager of Invest Lithuania, sees Dana’s new Lithuanian operation as an indication of how major global companies are viewing Lithuania when considering support and growth in the European region and beyond.
“Dana is a respected international force in the mobility sector. Not only that, it is highly valued for the importance it places on corporate responsibility. To have such a company join the ranks of our ever-growing global business services sector is indeed an honor. Alongside recent announcements from other Fortune 500 companies, including Moody’s, we see that the skills our talent bring to the table are now globally recognized. Not only that, these skills are seen as assets that leading companies can use to support their growth.”
